Tool Signal

How the brief is made

Editorial standards

Tool Signal is a new independent publication. These rules separate useful field notes from promotional copy and make future commercial work visible.

01

Primary sources

Product-specific facts such as price, limits, compatibility, eligibility, and payout rules are checked against the provider’s current documentation or binding terms. A secondary source may help find a claim, but it does not replace the provider’s own material.

02

Commercial relationships

A tracked partner link is labeled beside the relevant recommendation. Tool Signal may earn a commission from a qualifying action, but no payment can buy a positive conclusion, remove a material tradeoff, or turn an untested claim into a fact.

03

Testing language

A note says exactly what was tested and what was not. Public-document review is not described as hands-on testing. No audience size, customer result, client history, or product outcome is invented.

04

Corrections

Material corrections are added to the affected note with the date and the reason. A broken offer or obsolete instruction is removed instead of being left online solely to preserve clicks.
